Re: Valve Noise, I think

hey tobias, i'm assuming that the valve chain was nice and tight?

i seem to have the same problem myself right now in my rocco. at start
up, and for quite a while, it makes a loud clacking from right around the
cam gear. after a long highway drive, it seems to quiet down quite a bit.
but, after it cools down and i start it up again, it gets noisy all over
again.

it seems to be coming from below the valve cover. my thoughts have been
that it is a noisy lifter, but i dunno for sure.

to all: i'm a little concerned about it tho, cuz if it's noisy, would
that not mean that it's not properly lubbed? and if it isn't properly
lubbed, does that mean that there will be some sort of damage occurring
somewhere? shall i get my lifters replaced altogether?

    TIA!
