Re: spring question + neuspeed softsport 8v springs available (see p.s.)

Chris,
roccos can be lowered with the old 'cut a coil or 2' method, but i
wouldnt recommend it. the spring rate is meant to have alot of travel, so
it'll be bump stop heaven for you unless you have some really stiff struts.
i've had 15's, neuspeed softsports, and koni adjustables on a stock rocco
8v, and i had about 1" from top of tire to bottom of fender. i used the
center of the 5 height adjust spots on the rear konis, and that worked fine.
another thing to note is that i later put those springs on a 16v and it
looked severely slammed. i had to roll the front fender lips around to stop
the scrubbing, but the car did look decent. if you plan to switch to 16v
down the road it will in effect drop you another inch.
p.s. i recently got a set of 16v neuspeed springs and will have an extra
set of 8v springs once i swap em out. i just gotta get upper strut bushings
from potterman before i do the swap. just name a price and i would probably
part with them if you need them.
al
