Not just the 16v, but the Mk1 front end is a tad heavier too.

You need a spring compressor to get the front springs off- loosening
that big top nut without one is 


LIFE THREATENING.	


I picked up a set from Rocky Mountain just to try them out as a vendor.
Decent, I could have picked up a set from the local FLAPS for about $15,
so get a pair anyway. Cheap.
