Re: 16v overheating problems?



Ok here's the easy way to burp the system, and it always works for me on the 
first try...
1-of course when you put the new rad/ pump on you should put on the
  lower rad hose first,
2-and then before you replace the upper to the rad fill the physical
  rad itself,
3-and also the hose too.
***4- now here's the part that I never hear anybody doing, place a clean pan 
under the fan switch, loosen the switch so that it's secured hand tight to 
the rad, and then start up the car. while it's running then take off the 
switch for ten seconds, and replace. This, strangely enough has helped bleed 
the system quicker(for the rad anyway). I ussually replace the rad fluid 
(straining it before replacing it, I'm on a limited budget...)
