bumpers & painting a matter of taste

Hi everyone,

I am debating on what to do with the bumpers for my
MKI.  I have a set of european bumpers (Thanks Dirk!!)
that I am going to paint.  I am debating weather or
not to have them painted gloss black.  I liked what it
did for my old MKII, but don't know if it will look
right on a MKI.  Does anyone have any opinions? 
Pictures?  I just don't know.  One minute I thing it
will look cool and sleek, the next I think it will
look guady.  My car is black btw.
