Yes, I've noticed in junkyards that some have the p-valves and some don't. I
haven't heard a logical explanation about this.

All that you mentioned is what you need, plus (and this relates to your hand
brake question) you will need the hand brake cables for the disc brakes.
They hook up just fine to your hand brake in the car. Oh...I almost forgot,
you'll also need the flexible brake line that attaches to the rear disc
calipers. I just bought a 6 line braided kit when I did my conversion.

Yes, as far as I have seen they all will fit. In fact I have rear discs on
my 81 Scirocco from a 1987 Jetta.
