[Question] Rear Drums to Rear Disk Brakes?

Wanted to ask

I have rear drums on my 85 8v, and I have proportioning valves on the
master cylinder (dunno why seems I am the only car in the usa with
those on and drums) anyway,

what would be required to change my rear drums into disk brakes
system, aside from the obvious rotor/pads/calipers/bearings/back
plate, is the hand brake (emergency) need to be changed? Is there
anything else that needs my attention? and finally will any rear Jetta
GTI <90 just pop right in place? or do you have other cars
suggestions?
