This is a common problem with Alfa Spiders (stick with me here).  Because
the car and seat are so low, owners use the door to lift themselves out of
the car.  Over time, it bends the hinges.  The proper way to fix it was to
replace the hinge.  The shade tree mechanic way was to place a socket on the
lowest bolt on the hinge and shut the door.  It bent the hinge back upward.
Of course, YMMV, try-at-your-own-risk, I-don't-advocate-this-kind-of-repair,
etc., etc.
