fog lamp switch

I'm not sure whether the US cars has the same fog lamp switch as the 
europeans but I want to use the original switch for the fog lamps (front & 
rear)

Where does the cables go from the switch? Is there somewhere a connector 
waiting a plug-in?
What about the rear fog lamps? I saw some cars with working rear fog lamps 
(only the left one). I have a pair of nice black-striped rear lamps (from 
Dirk) with fog lamps in both sides, but the fog lamp switch has no effect. 
(only the yellow led lights inside if I remember correctly)

The car is a 87 GT 16V
