Clean all the old grease out and slap some Redline Bearing grease in.

Can't say I can shed light on which goes were without them in hand, but-

As to buying new ones (this is not too bad an idea) you should get the
rebuild kit at least or go whole hog and get new CVs w/ install it (new
boots & grease & clamps & stuff) from one of the list vendors:
