RE: Militec-1 additive



Interesting thing about Slick 50 - I read something a few years ago about a
test that Briggs and Stratton did.  They ran two engines - one with Slick
50, and one with just oil.  They ran them for 24 hours and drained the oil.
Then they ran them another 24 hours and disassembled them.  They both made
it, according to what I read.  Upon inspection, they found the engine with
Slick 50 was in worse shape than the one without.

I don't recall where I ran across that information - I believe it was
probably posted to the VintagVW list several years ago.  I wish I had some
way to verify it...
