Why are poly bushings "bad"?

According to the Shine Racing website, you should buy their Teflon
suspension bushings because poly bushings are bad. They don't say why, and
I'm curious. I'm thinking about doing some suspension upgrades in the
future (upper and lower stress bars, front and rear sway bars), and I
figured I might replace my bushings (most likely original) with something
better while I'm in there. I use my car on the street exclusively. Can
anyone shed light on this?
