[body] MK I fender preservation

  For giggles let's say our sample MK I has new or reconditioned, rust-free 
front fenders. Now, to keep road sludge from collecting on the lower, inside 
of the fender and roting them out, would the plastic wheel well liners from 
any MK II fit up in the fenders?
