RE: scirocco.org club, list etiquette, etc



The hardware/software issue is the only serious justification I've heard for
why s.org needs to become better organized. I think it could be handled by
club dues, but I think there are other options, too.

What if we came up with a budget for the new infrastructure including both
intial investment and on-going costs? That would give us an idea for what we
need.

I don't have any ideas to handle the on-going costs (sponsorship, maybe?),
but I bet if we took a one-time voluntary collection we could come up with
some hardware money. I know it has worked for other groups. I also know that
VALinux has sponsored other auto enthusiast web sites, but I don't know the
details. I could find out...

I'd like to participate in continued discussion if it is taken off-list.
