no   makign your exhaust smooth is fine, that is not a big issue to deal
with , it i when you are portig theintake or intake manifolds,   those
should be left rough causing the air to flow better, actually creatign a jet
stream int eh aintke, if fyou guys need a further explanation please let me
knwo and i will go into more detail
