Here is my .02 Andy.

The rotation noise you hear is probably a wheel bearing,( front,...wheel
bearing), going bad.  Yes you must change this now *if* this is the problem
otherwise you  will also be replacing your hub.  On the oil pressure
note,...make a jumper wire (piece of wire with alligator clip on each end).
Now remove the wire from the oil pressure switch and attach one end of
jumper wire to it and the other to the engine to *Ground* this wire.  Now
check to see if the warning sound/light has stopped.  If so,...the oil
pressure switch is bad.  If not,..check the wire that you "jumped" for
cracks/breaks.  Repair these as necessary.
Let us know what you find.
