Buying a 16v Scirocco

I'm sure this has been asked many times on this list but well I'm asking it
again ; - ) What should one look out for when buying a 16v scirocco. Other
then the obvious things like rust, high miles, worn tired etc . . What are
some specific problems that these cars have and what signs should I look out
for? What's this about the frame cracking around the radiator? How do I know
if a CV joint is going? Thanks in advance.
