sounds like one of the gears is going.  It's a common thing on rocco and I
even have the same problem.  There is a how-to for fixing it here at
http://www.longcoeur.com/scirocco/  just go to the "Tech Notes" section and
it's under the interior mods group.  I wish ya luck as I am about to do the
same thing this weekend.
