This is the route I am currently pursuing. I actually
picked up a driver's side line from a 1990 Cabriolet
this weekend.

Of course, the 1975-1980 Scirocco does not have the
little "ridge" and "valley" formed on the bottom of
the pan (to protect the lines from road debris) - it's
flat. So now I'm wondering how I will protect the
lines from getting snagged on branches or other road
debris . . .
