As for cleaning the gunk out of the engine you can run some ATF 1/2qt to
3/4qt. Bring engine to temp then shut off,add ATF run at idle for 15 to
20mins, do not exceed 3000rpm. Run it through a couple heat and cool down
cycles, then drain and replace. ATF has a very high detergent factor almost
3 times that of motor oil (due to the clutches in the ATM).
