Hmmmmm, you say it's NEW Mobil 1 coming out of the oil filter gasket.  You
didn't by any chance just replace the oil/filter and leave the old gasket
stuck on the flange, did you?  If you did, the blue smoke you saw should
have been oil hitting the exhaust and getting blown out the back of the car
after the '2' filter gaskets lost their seal.
