Which Master Cylinder?

I'm gonna be upgrading my '78 bunny to 10.1" front and 8.9 rear discs.  I
have a rear brake setup from an '86 8v gli and the fronts from an '87 16v
gti.  But I'm just not sure which MC to use.

I have already the MC and booster from the 8v gli and I have the MC only
from the 16v gti.  Do I need the 16v booster to make this setup work? or can
I use the 16v MC with the gli booster?
