Re: bad cv joint symptoms

not sure if this made it through the first time, but you're right...it did turn out to be a control arm problem.  The bolt that goes through the rear bushing on the control arm into the chassis was missing.  I guess that was causing the problem.

Now, anybody know what size this bolt is, and if i can just pick one up at the hardware store? Oh, car is an 86 Jetta
