Soooooo thats what happened to that "Golf Limited" they had down at Volks
Cafe in Santa Cruz.
That was a Damn cool car......and very fast.

If it was a 16V G-60 than it wasn't a Rallye Golf.

The "Golf Rallye" was:
1.8L 8V G-60 that was available in the US Corrado.
Synchro
2 Door
Box fender extensions
Slimmer Square Headlights
Production of around 5000 units

The "Golf Limited" was:
Built by VW Motorsports
1.8L 16V G-60 only avail in this particular car
Synchro
4 Door
Standard 4dr golf body
Single outside round lights
Baby blue grill surround trim and VW Motorsports grill badge
Production of only 70 units

Just thought I'd give a little FYI on the subject :)

If this engine is gone through and the needed parts to reproduce the
powerplant duplicated it would be a great upgrade for any 16V owner.

It is a shame that the other company that was providing the conversion has
failed so miserably....maybe this guy in San Diego will be sucessful. :)
