RE: 16V top end clattering - impending doom?



Funny, mine did that on Saturday too. First time I've ever heard it. It went
away after it idled for a minute or so. 160,000 last week...I guess it's
getting tired.

Someone told me to change the oil and replace one quart of oil with ATF.
Ever heard of this? He said ATF has a lot of detergents in it, and it will
help solve sticky lifters, etc.
