Horn relay

My '82 came to me w/o a horn.  I bolted the dual horn from my '84 in, but
there's no power.  Before I spend time troubleshooting it, I have a couple
questions.

The '84 has a "dual horn relay" with an extra terminal, but the connection
at the horn is the same.  Is there any reason I can't use the existing relay
inthe '82?  What's the purpose of the extra terminal on the relay in the
'84?

Did the '82 come stock with a single horn?
