Time for a tune up

Hi all,

I'm in pretty bad need of a tune up at this point, and have a couple of
questions (recall that this is an 82 (1.7)).

What plugs and wires are generally recommended?  Is there anything to the
Blue Igniters or do they just make your engine bay look pretty?  It has
also been suggested to me that I might want to consider running plugs
that are one phase hotter because of the high number of miles on the
engine.  Comments please?

We also want to adjust the timing belt.  My Chilton's (I know, I need a
Bentley) describes the process; those of you who have ever read the
Chilton's manual know that I still need to know the procedure. :)
