RE: Relay panel shot?

So how much voltage is supposed to be going to the coil? Does anyone know
the specified resistance of that wire? I've been just driving the car
normally unless it won't start, and then I connect the jumper from the
battery to the coil so I have 12V.

Incidentally, sometimes when I connect the wire, I hear a buzzing for about
1s from somewhere on the left half of the engine compartment, and sometimes
I don't. I haven't been able to figure out what is buzzing, but when it
buzzes, the dash warning lights are on, and the engine won't quit until I
disconnect the wire. When I don't get the buzzing, the car behaves
normally.
