Vic n' Dirk are right on. The best vice grips I found for the job were
needle nose type with the long narrow ends. These fit down in the
'groove' that runs around the injectors and with some thin, flat wood or
a screwdriver to place under and save your valve cover you can lever
them right out. Concentrate the force applied in line with the injector,
try and avoid an Arc like motion.
