engine mounts

Need to replace the mounts (front and rear,
front=timing belt end of engine).

My parts guy says the front mount is special for 16V's
(it's also nearly 3x the price of 8V's) and may or may
not be the same as the tranny-end mount...any guidance
on whether it's the same mount?  Any knowledge of
diameters of these mounts?
