Re: Rad Fan Not Running

I'm gonna expand a bit more on my situation....

The car is an 81 Scirocco with a 16V Scirocco rad and I didn't swap in the
16V rad fan relay. I replaced the thermo switch with another one (I'm not
sure if that one works either - I will get a new one tomorrow) and coolant
flowed out of the hole as I replaced the switch. Am I safe to assume that
there's no blackage in the rad? I bridged the two wires which go into the
thermo switch and the fan did come on. Thermo switch? Is that the culprit
or do I need to look further and possibly into the thermostat?

TIA

Sal
