ive got something to add here. around where i live theres little to no
'asians' so rice boy is not used to call someone by there race, but a
generalization about their car. ricers are strictly the ones who goto
"zekes" the local parts store and buy stickers, huge plastic wings, black
tint, all the blackouts clear anything and crow wheels (i.e. flashy chrome
wheels that couldnt possibly benefit any performance) as my friend calls
them (he owns a probe GT) . one specific example, the conveniance store
where i worked there was this kid who was still in school, had a honda del
sol. now dont attack me, but i think they are decent cars (if only they put
the engine in the back) but this kid went down to zekes and got the usual
"VTEC" sticker and put it across his windshield. all he did was put stickers
on his window. he is not asian at all, hes probably quite portuguese. theres
alot of those in the southcoast of massachusetts. there are plenty of other
people who do similar things. they get the big shiny can exhaust that makes
their cars, IMO sound worse than my lawn mower. they lower them, crank the
wheels sideways (camber) and get large oversized shiny chrome rims. maybe
put on cheap ugly body kits, tint the windows and install awful sounding
boom booms (stereos systems). and these cars i could fly by with my previous
beater scirocco that wasnt in good shape at all. i just laugh when i see
these people. there are however the guys who, yes, do know what theyre
doing, and do up their cars to go faster. theyre usually the ones at the
local raceway entering the spectator drags beating all but the biggest
baddest early 80's camaro Z28 (its an oval track). i was rather rooting for
the honda. there are also, i dont like to admit, vw ricers. the vw crowd
around here usually finds the parts store easier though, but theyre all
punks and i dont like any of them.
and after all that, like the other guy said, unless you race them, then i
see plenty of these guys quite often enough and dont need to be bothered
reading about other peoples encounters with them.
