Another "VW Specialty Shop" experience

OK,...here is the skinny. I didn't have a multimeter that measure milli
amps (fluke 16) nor the little VW tool to set my fuel mixture on my 16v...so
off to the local VW Specialty Shop in town. Car came back from there and
ran fine. Being a new motor I figure that it just didn't have any "Oomph"
because it wasn't broken in yet. Well,...today I bought a multimeter
(another fluke...but this time a 23 which does measure milli amps) and
yesterday I made the test harness from an old oxygen sensor. Hooked up
everything and wrote down my readings. Fluctuation between
12.03-10.87....so an average of 11.45. I turned the 3mm hex and now have a
reading average of 5.68. What do you know,....the car now runs well,
doesn't nearly die at intersections and actually has some of that "oomph" I
knew it was missing. So know I'm off to the road to enjoy some of this new
found power.
Later,
Chris
