The mechanic was surprised to see it that high.. first thing he asked me was
if there was something done to the motor to raise it.  Naah, just a stock
bottom end out of a boneyard Passat..  :D

The motor will get several hundred miles of 4k-rpm cruising this weekend, so
if there's anything in there that needs blowing out, that should do the
trick!
