My own "Lake Scirocco"

I've just finished fixing my very own "Lake Scirocco".
Mine turned out not to be from the drains in the rain
tray area, nor was it bad window seals, it was from
the damn three screws that hold down the aircon/fresh
air vent duct, they had come loose probably from all
the vibration due to my poly motor mount inserts. I
put weather sealer between the duct and metal, and
also on the screws themselves.
It's amazing how much water came through the screw
holes during several Texas rain storms while I was in
Italy for two weeks, so much so I've decided to
replace my carpet. It seems the previous owner must
have let their cats use the floor board for a rest
haven because an odor became unleashed after it got
wet.
I got so pissed off I started removing seats and
cutting the carpet out because the smell drove me
batty. I went in the house and ordered a replacement
carpet from TMI for about $100, hope it turns out to
be a good investment.
The whole experience has given me an excuse to finally
get the interior all fixed up.

Later,
