Re: Oil Priming a new 16V

Simple answer. No.

Here's what I did. I asked around and the only way I found to do it is to use the starter. After getting all of the fluids in the car, I left the spark plugs out and disconnected the coil wire. Then I cranked over the motor until the oil light went out. This may take a while if you have an external oil cooler like I do. Then install the spark plugs and coil wire and start her up.

BTW, the cranking of the engine should also get your fuel lines filled up if you had them disconnected for the engine swap.

Good luck --

Subject: Oil Priming a new 16V

Is there a tool out there to preprime a fresh 16V motor? Like a drill attachment to spin the pump?

Thank you for your time.
