I have the same problem with pot holes and bumps in the road. My Scirocco is lowered 2" and has a very stiff suspension so, it sounds like my whole car is being torn apart every time I can't avoid one of those damn things.

My 16v engined car is also out and roaming the pothole laden streets of 
Minneapolis.

 If anyone thinks there city uses lots of salt you have not been here . They 
still have not got around to sweeping all the sand up yet either so some 
corners can get a little hairy if you get off line . The worst part about 
spring driving is the newly formed holes in the street that the DOT has not 
decided to fill with any expedience . I cringe everytime I miss avoiding one 
especially since I hear the 2pc. BBS wheels are very fragile . 
Now I have to put my new P&P 1.8 head on as soon as I buy a set of cams and 
sprocket . The local track here is having its first Import day in just over a 
month . 
I figure with some real tires and the afformentioned mod I shoud be able to 
at least take off .5 sec and go over 100 .
