Heh. True story: A friend of mine was in the army as a crewmember on an
Kiowa helicopter, specializing in maintainence. One of the things they
practiced was combat-condition field repairs. They were replacing some
seal in the gearbox, and the manual specified that it be lubed with a
non-petrol based lubricant before installation. So, he send 2 guys to the
Aid station for some KY. They refused to supply it untill they showed them
the manual. So much for dont ask, dont tell, eh?
