<sigh>

Potter, Potter, I say again Potter. <http://www.parts4vws.com>

Oh, and Mark is even closer to you at;
<http://www.germanautoparts.com>

The local parts guys are where you buy filters and oil and air
freshener & stuff, or when you are stuck and need it fast, right
now.

Contact either/both these guys listed above, they have waaaay
more stuff available than you will see on the given website and
can back up a recommendation of what will fit your needs with
Experience.

Now, since you will pull the trans out, this is a great time to
swap the mounts as well. Remember that the engine will need
supporting when you unhook things. I learned to cut a two by four
to fit in the space the hood takes up. Cut in half and doubled
up, just the length to fit, not up on the fenders lest you crease
them. Hook & eye and a good stout rope and it's on.

I don't think the four mounts are the same, I believe the two
side ones are different but similar. Getting the old mounts out
are easy, except for the Right side one. It's a close fit to get
a 6 mm (8 mm?) hex wrench in there, some folks use a hex head
bolt instead when reattaching the mount.

Getting the rubber out of the frame is easy too, just cut it out
w/ a hacksaw blade. Getting the Right side mount pressed back in
is not so easy. I have heard folks lubing the thing with oil,
freezing the rubber and heating the metal and pounding away with
a board and mallet. Good luck. I got pre pressed from the
Potterdude but I'm one of the sleazy end users who didn't return
the old mount brackets for deposit so i don't think he dos it
anymore. :(

I'm going to be in you same shoes soon enough with the Wabbit I
just got and the A2 Jetta has over 140k so, the hits just keep on
commin'.

BTW- Some folks seem to like a mix of different mounts, Heavy
Duty in one place, stock in another. The idea being to balance
between low vibration and more power transmitted to the wheels.

hth,
TBerk
