my mom and brother BOTH drive suburbans, a 91, and a99, i do bitch at my
brother for driving his ALL the time, i do have to agree that they are a
waste if you only  use it to cart around your own ass, but when it comes to
a family outing... they do come in VERY handy.  and knok on wood, niether of
them have been in an accident of ANY kind.  but i do know that i feel safer
on a highway with BIG trucks all around me in the suburban(s) than i do in
my scirocco.  but that's just my .02 worth.
