Re: Euro light wiring/relaying (ATTN. DIRK)

To be honest with you guys I have to tell you that there are 2 types of
Euro lights, one set has the inner lamps as Fog lights and they come on
when you switch the fog light switch and on the other model the inner
lights are high beams that come on when you switch on high beams on
the main lamps.

The fog lamp version has hard vertical stripes on them and the high beam
version does not. Also the fog lamp version has a very widely spread
beam pattern and high beam version points the light straight forward.

I'm not 100% sure but it seems, that this:

is a fog light setup, and this

seems to be high beam version, it's a bit lighter than the
fog light verson which has those hard vertical stripes that
should spread the beams.

Correct me if I'm wrong and check to my homepage, my old '83
Scirocco had the fog light setup and my current '84 has the high beam
setup, but the pics are too lazy to show that correctly.

And yes I do have the fog light switch, but it operates only rear fog
lights on my '84.
