oil pressure sender

I spent some time at the dealership today looking for an oil pressure
sender. The machine only shows a temp, and two switches, not a pressure
sender. One on the oil filter and one on the side of the engine. Plastic cap
is either black or white.
I bought the white one and hope that it is correct. $6.95 for the thing. Did
I get the right thing?
