I found re-built calipers with "caliper carriers" for $59.00. OEM for $99.00
with out carriers.
Check out this site. WWW.germanautoparts.com .These guys are 10 miles from
me and I nnever knew...

The threads on the carrier have been stripped by the PO. And yes, my baby is
lost with out the nipples.... I am grabbing a set this Friday to swap on
Saturday Morning... So much for nails...

The front vented discs from an '84ish GTI/Scirocco are a direct swap
(along with pads to match - they have to be thinner), assuming you have
the same calipers. Sounds like your bleeder nipples are broken off - or do
you mean they're just not there at all? Pick up some calipers that have
bleeder nipples that work - they're important : )
