Re: making teardrops shine again???



the way i did my teardrops:
    sand blasted them with black beauty, and made sure to get ALL the old
clear coat off.
    sanded with a random orbit sander, started with 80 grit, went to 100,
180, then i think 240.
    wet sanded with 600, 720, 800, 1000, 1500, and then finally with 2000.
    then heavy compound, med. compound, and light compound, witht a spin
buffer.
    Finally teflon polish.
    it took me about 6-7 hours per wheel, but when you're 15 and have a
whole summer off with no job or g/f to do you get kinda bored.

well that's my wheel story.
