Re: That stinky Scirocco moment...



Jason, if you have an 8V I would suggest you check your air filter. It is 
probably FULL of oil and now serving as an oil filter. My other Rocco did 
the same thing whilst doing insane burnouts in the parking lot near my 
house. I very nicely drove the car home and checked the air filter only to 
find it FILLED with oil. Replaced the filter and gee guess what? No more 
smoke :) I then called the PO and asked him why it was like that and he said 
that one time he broke an alternator belt (which drives the water pump as 
well) and didnt want the car to overheat so he added about 4 quarts of oil 
ON TOP of the 5 quarts already in the crankcase! Apperantly it worked cause 
it dint over heat and it hasn't had any problems since I got it.
