The major problem and headache with 16v head on 8v block is all of the
other "little" things. Such as the 16v uses a different timing belt
size, so the sprockets on the 8v block need to be changed, BUT the
intemediate shaft sprocket from a 16v won't fit the 8v, so you need to
swap intermediate shafts too. Then you have to get a different oil pump,
and a way to cap the 8v distributor hole.

Talk to Brian Honnold, he's going the other direction in size on this
one. 16v head on 2.0 8v block. Same pains though.

Do-able, but not easy.
