oil pressure weirdness

ok, this problem is on the zender daily driver.....
'86 JH motor.

So just recently, the oil pressure has been dropping
considerably on cornering.  The warning buzzer sounds,
and my oil pressure gauge reads under 10 pounds even
on fairly light cornering like freeway onramps at 30mph.
I checked the oil level, and it is exactly where it should be,
so does this mean the oil pump is pooping out on me?
btw, oil pressure reads about 60 normally in a straight line....
