You'll have to swap all of the mounts for alt/AC since I think the 86 should 
have the rotary (round) compressor mounted low on the engine as opposed to 
the big square one on the 80 mounted on top.  Other than that, the clutch is 
bigger on the 1.8 (just swap the flywheel and get the 210mm clutch parts new) 
and the upper radiator hose is different.  That should be about the only 
changes.  Not sure which exhaust manifold the 86 has, but, you may have to 
swap it for the 80.  It's a really straight forward swap which has been done 
thousands of times.  The increase in horsepower and torque will really make a 
Mk1 fly.  Especially if you already have a good exhaust and a G-grind cam for 
the 1.6 (you can swap the cam to the 1.8).
