You're right.  4wd won't do a thing to help you in snow if you don't know
how to drive with it in the snow.  I love the 4wd in my truck but I have to
be careful because the idiot in front of me in the SUV will do stupid
things like slam on the brakes at the last minute and such because they
they think there is no thought needed to drive if you have a SUV.
