'87 GTI, Re: engine swap

According to the dealer brochures I have from '87 there was indeed an 8v
GTI, although I'm not sure i've ever seen one.  I had an '87 Golf GT.  It
may have had a 105 hp motor at one point, but not by the time I got it.  It
had a close ratio gear box, but no rear discs, no sport seats, no Fuba, and
no rear sway bar.  So judging by it's lack of equipment I'd be there was an
'87 8v GTI.  There'd be too big of a gap in the model line up other wise.
